Hi Anders1993, To measure communication load, you need some additional equipment. This can be a network tap that mirrors all the data to a monitoring port to which you can connect your computer and capture all the data using, for example, Wireshark. There are also some companies that offer special devices for PROFINET monitoring. These allow continuous monitoring of your PROFINET installation and report any anomalies. You can also use a managed SCALANCE switch from the 200 family. These also allow you to configure a port as a monitoring port. Siemens offers SINETPLAN, the Siemens Network Planner. This tool is useful for simulating the network load on a configured network in the planning phase. However, it also allows you to import captures for a more detailed simulation. Kind regards |
