So, I have a PLC Siemens, with 314C-2DP CPU, 6ES7 314-6CF00-0AB0, firmware V1.0 . It is my final project for my faculty and, this is the configuration and I can't buy a better version, I can't upgrade it. I have to do it with what I have.

So, the problem is that I have to find a solution to monitorize data from distance to maintain a constant level of water in a tank, and also give commands and alarms. I've read about Web2PLC function, but it's not available for this CPU.

Can you please help me with ideas on how could I do it? I've also been thinking to monitor data values on a computer, and from another computer log in via TeamViewer and extract data and so on.

But it's the worst case solution, in case I don't find another.

I look forward for your response.  Thank you in advance! :)

Hello,

one question, do you use PCS 7 or WinCC or nothing of both?

You can use the functionality of Web Navigator, where remote monitoring of data is possible.
I think this request should be transferred from PCS 7.

Hello,

if you want to see some data, the you have to use WinCC.
CFC Online and CFC Trend which are in the SIMATIC Manager are only for testing of the engineering.

Web navigator is used to send your wincc pages over th eethernet as a web page so multiple computers can see them. another nice add on is datamonitor which allow you to print reports or lend data to a exellspreadsheet
