For the first time, the Siemens Industry Automation Division has developed products for WirelessHart communication. The new product family comprises two transmitters, a gateway to Industrial Ethernet and software, as well as an adapter for process instruments in preparation.

The new product line SITRANS I is now available. Our product range includes the following devices: Isolating power supply SITRANS I100 for 2- and 3-wire transmitters or to connect to mA-Sources in hazardous areas and output isolator SITRANS I200 for positioners, i/p-converters or displays in hazardous area.
Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D) has added new features to the Enhanced EDD (electronics device description) of the HART® and Profibus PA Sitrans LR250 level transmitters to provide additional diagnostic functionality and ease of use. The enhancements include reorganizing the echo tools into one convenient location and a new cyclic echo profile saving feature which allows users to save echo profiles at pre-determined time intervals.
Siemens Industry Automation Division has added the Sitrans LVS100 to its line of vibrating point level switches for high, low, or demand levels of dry bulk solids in bins, silos, or hoppers. The new device detects the presence of material with bulk densities starting at 60 grams/liter (3.8 lb/ft3) in mining, food, plastics, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries in hazardous applications.
The Siemens Industry Automation Division has developed an all-inclusive kit for checking the performance and accuracy of any type and brand of energy meter in heating, ventilation and air conditioning applications. The kit contains the clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeter Sitrans FUE1010 along with transducers, 1000 Ohm platinum resistance temperature detectors (RTD’s), cables, etc. required for measurement of district energy cooling and chilled water applications as well as power plants.
Siemens has added a PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) nose cone as an option to the non-contacting ST-H ultrasonic level transducer for liquids. This new material type improves the chemical compatibility of the ST-H transducer, offering more options for wet well, chemical storage, and process vessel applications.
