The Ex- interface is a barrier separating the load cells installed in the hazardous area from the weighing processors in the non-hazardous area according to the "intrinsically safe" type of protection. One version with IP54 (diecast housing) and two for switch cabinet assembly are available.
The SIWAREX Pi Ex interface can be used for the SIWAREX U, CS, MS, FTA, FTC and M weighing modules. It contains 6 safety barriers and has FM approval for devices of Class I Div.1.
The SIWAREX IS Ex interface can be used for the SIWAREX U, CS, MS, FTA, FTC, M and CF weighing modules. It contains 6 safety barriers and has the designation to ATEX and EN 5001U 2D/ II(2)G[EEx ib] IIC.
