Sitrans F C MC2 and Siflow FC070Improved HygieneSiemens recently introduced a new line of Coriolis flowmeters for the food and beverage industry that are certified according to the guidelines of the European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group (EHEDG).
The Sitrans F C MC2 hygienic sensor withstands rough conditions during cleaning in place (CIP) and sterilization in place (SIP) processes. Furthermore, the pipe hydraulics for the new Coriolis pipe are designed without any reductions and setbacks, which ensures not only good cleanability but also maximum food safety during processing. The Sitrans F C MC2 has obtained the internationally acknowledged EHEDG hygienic approval. With this approval, the owner gains optimum safety in daily operation, but the good cleanability of the EHEDG-approved device can also contribute significantly to cost-efficient maintenance and lower manufacturing costs. The Sitrans F C MC2 can be combined with the Siflow FC070 transmitter, the first transmitter designed for direct integration into Simatic PCS 7 automation systems. With a transmitter width of only 40 millimeters, the transmitter is so small that it can be installed virtually anywhere, even remote from the processes it controls. In this way, potential contamination issues can be avoided and hygiene further improved. www.siemens.com/flow
