 Cut
lamina is weighed by the batch and fed into one of two
saturation vessels, called impregnators. Once the impregnator
is sealed, liquid carbon dioxide floods into the vessel
at a high pressure. After a soaking period, the impregnator
is opened and the frozen tobacco is discharged at -78°C.
