Stem cutting
and drying
|
 |
| |
 Each
batch, usually consisting of a complete silo of whole
conditioned stems, is processed (with optional flattening)
and then cut.
The cut stem is then transferred to a buffer to ensure
a uniform, constant feed to the stem expansion and drying
unit.
The product is usually then airlifted to the cut stem
silos in preparation for adding it to the lamina as a
percentage of the final blend.
