Klein Wanzleben
Complete factory including Management Information System. The factory in Klein Wanzleben was one of two green-field plants built right after German reunification. Siemens was the main partner for the complete supply of all electrical and automation equipment from beet receiving up to sugar packing and handling. In 2004, the first migration projects from Teleperm-M to PCS 7 were executed in order to prepare for overall modernization in the following years. |

General contract for MIS system delivery for all SZ factories in Germany. The specialized Sugar Management Information System MIS was installed in all German Südzucker factories and was extended to a central MIS. Located at the Südzucker HQ in Ochsenfurt, this central MIS collects all factory data of the networked plants into one central database with corporate-wide access via the intranet. In 2003 first extension into Belgium was implemented.

Factory audit, consulting services
In order to convince the customer that modern instrumentation and automation solutions will help to improve the plant capacity, a complete plant assessment had been carried out. This plant audit covered the overall process from cane handling to sugar dispatch and provided the customer with a plan of investment for the next couple of years, covering not only instrumentation and automation but also process restructuring, operations and other related topics. |
