Solutions Process Industries (SP) is a business of Siemens Automation & Drives, A&D Division. It was previously a Siemens subsidiary trading as Siemens Axiva GmbH & Co. KG, a spin-off company created from the central research and engineering department of the former Hoechst Group. Since May 1, 2004, Siemens Axiva GmbH & Co. KG has been incorporated as a business into the Siemens AG Automation &Drives, A&D Division and renamed Solutions Process Industries (SP). A&D AS SP is headquartered in Frankfurt am Main. It offers services ranging from integrated process development through engineering to automation of individual production plants. Business customers include leading international companies, especially those in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
