• How can you ensure sufficient product purity in a column?
• How can the pressure be maintained? What happens if the feed temperature deviates from the setpoint value? Which measures are necessary in this case?
• And what controller combination leads to instabilities?

Process control engineers cannot apply the DCS system effectively if questions like this have not been resolved. And they can be resolved most effectively by those who know most about the process: the people who have simulated the process and designed the equipment, know the sensitive issues of the plant, what effect deviations from the setpoint value have, or how the particular items of equipment react to load variations.

The result of our efforts is a well-documented process flow diagram, in which the simulation scheme has been converted into a flowsheet with all the equipment. The required measuring and control equipment is already included. In this way, A&D AS Solutions Process Industries's customers are informed at a very early stage about one of the most costly aspects of their investment.
