Experimental opportunities

In thermal process engineering, many process development tasks can be accomplished with computational work but some questions still remain. You never know whether you have actually considered all the important components, whether decomposition or solids formation might occur in a particular item of equipment or whether properties that cannot be simulated, such as odor or Hazen number (colour), meet the desired requirements.

Before an investment is actually implemented, the process should be verified experimentally.

To make more certain, the entire process – including recycling materials – can be run in the laboratory. A&D AS Solutions Process Industries can undertake operations such as this in an individual miniplant at low cost; transfer to production scale is usually possible.
