Do you use a computer with a monitor where you work?

If so, you are no doubt aware that your data can be picked up within a radius of up to 1000 meters. The reason is that all electrical devices, especially computers and monitors, emit electromagnetic energy to their surroundings.

This energy then spreads itself out through any conductive objects that happen to be near, such as water pipes, heating pipes, power cables or air-conditioning units. The energy also spreads itself out through the atmosphere and can then be regarded as a form of "compromising emission".
