Extreme temperature variations

Extreme temperature variations, condensationElectronic industry devices are normally intended for use in closed rooms or air-conditioned cabinets which provide relatively stable temperature and atmospheric moisture, thus preventing moisture condensation. Even if these devices may appear to be suitable for low temperature applications, it doesn't necessarily mean they can be operated outside of air-conditioned mounting locations: because the specified temperature range and bedewing are not the same.


Medial load, pollution gases

Medial load, pollution gasesExtreme air pollution is often found in the chemical industry and the secondary or primary industries resulting from the most diverse concentrations of pollution gases. For example, chlorous and sulphurous atmospheres are the rule in the manufacture and recycling of paper or in sewage treatment plants. Dangers lurk wherever distributed I/O is used. Harmful micro corrosion can cause signal corruption, neutral faults, or even the total failure of the system or plant.
The right protection measure is the solution here: Conformal coating.
A special coating on the SIPLUS extreme products means pollution gases have no chance!


Contamination

ContaminationDust, dirt and water can endanger not only the operational safety of a plant. Even with frequently required cleaning condensation can penetrate devices or electronic modules and combine with chemical substances there to produce unfavorable effects. Premature device failures and costly repairs are just one example of what can result if the correct degree of protection is not selected.
One example for optimal protection are the SIPLUS Posmo A ruggedized positioning motors. They are resistant to oil, grease, salt water, petrol (aliphatic compounds and aromatic compounds), alcholol (ethanol, glycols, isopropanol) as well as all currently known printing machine cleaners, coolants and lubricants. They can thus be used in all applications subject to harsh environmental conditions, from the process industry to the manufacturing industry, especially in machine tool building.
