| The position decoder module SM 338 supports the connection of up to 3
SSI encoders to S7-300 and ET 200M. The isochronous response and latch
functions over digital inputs also support time-critical applications in the
field of position sensing.
SM 338 provides encoder values for further processing in the STEP 7
program. Further processing is performed in the CPU, e.g. with Easy Motion
Control.
Parameterization is performed with STEP 7 without the need for additional
configuration software.
