Sensors can be exchanged during operation without any extra work since the PLC automatically reestablishes all sensor settings. Furthermore, IQ-Sense permits channel-specific system diagnostics. Wire break, short-circuit, maladjustment or module/sensor failure are automatically signaled, and parameterization errors are avoided. It is therefore possible to reduce downtimes and to increase plant availability.
