The mobile reader/writer SIMATIC RF610M consists of a powerful, rugged and flexible handheld computer and a read/write unit adapted for the RFID system SIMATIC RF600. The mobile handheld unit satisfies the complex requirements placed on mobile RFID data acquisition – even in harsh environments. The user-friendly software and the ergonomic design ensure easy operation and handling. The devices are based on well-proven communication standards and can therefore be easily integrated in an existing or planned infrastructure.

SIMATIC RF620T adds another rewritable transponder to the SIMATIC RF600 RFID system. The transponder is designed to be passive and maintenance-free based on the UHF Class 1 Gen2 technology for saving the 96 bit Electronic Product Code (EPC). The rugged container tag for industrial requirements is characterized by its high resistance to detergents. It is designed for mounting on plastic, wood, glass – for example, containers, pallets, crates and trolleys. Using spacers it can also be used on metal. The use of plastic compatible with food applications makes it suitable for use in the food and tobacco industry. The container tag is designed for the frequency ranges 868 MHz (Europe) and 915 MHz (USA).

The RFID system is expanded by a small, rugged, erasable data memory denoted SIMATIC RF640T. This tool tag can be mounted directly on metal. It has a typical sensing range of two meters which makes it suitable for asset management of tools, containers, wire-mesh boxes and metallic equipment.

The SIMATIC RF600 RFID system includes three new Smart Labels – the SIMATIC RF630L transponders. The Smart Labels are passive and maintenance-free, based on the UHF Class1 Gen2 technology for storing electronic product codes (EPC). The Smart Labels can be used for the frequencies 868 MHz (Europe) and 915 MHz (USA).
