Overview
Where standard solutions no longer suffice and customized solutions must
be of the highest standard, the solution is usually based on SICOMP .
And with good reason, too. Hardly any other hardware system can be tailored as individually to a task and combined with customer developments as our microcomputers. And offer at the same time the high performance of these modular, open board systems.
Flexible, fit for industrial applications and suited to real-time operation
SICOMP SMP16 and CPCI are modular board systems in single-height and double-height Eurocard format with an open PC-compatible system architecture. The optimum basis, for example, if you...
- - want to use standard boards for real-time applications
- - have to visualize processes
- - need a high level of computing performance
- - require extremely transparent logical structures
- - or value easy expansion.
These systems are ideal for machine and process-oriented
applications. Our industrial microcomputers operate in harsh
industrial environments.
Open because of high standards and future-oriented family planning
SICOMP board systems are based on high standards.
SICOMP SMP16, for instance, uses the open SMP 16 bus specification with a defined bus performance of more than 10 MB/s. This basis meets all requirements for designing advanced, powerful and highly compact real-time computers.
Combination of different bus systems - like SMP16 and CPCI - makes it possible for automation solutions to unite the advantages of both bus systems. The two bus technologies can be integrated when a CPCI backplane is used on a 19" standard system frame. Powerful CPUs then control both the CPCI and the SMP16 bus segment. Since the modules have a metallic front and individual locking plus high-quality plug connectors to the backplane bus, a very high EMC and industrial standard is achieved for the entire system.
Remarkable freedom for your software requirements
SICOMP industrial microcomputers also stand for flexible operating systems -
providing great freedom to the user.
The SICOMP RMOS3 real-time operating system, for example, offers a complete and economical solution on a single CPU.
The Internet has totally changed the way we think.
With TCP/IP for communication, these board systems give the customer the opportunity to implement Internet access for embedded systems based
on existing world-wide standards.
