| | Siemens expands its product range of servo gear motors | Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D) is expanding its range of servo motors. The Group will present a new range of 1FK7-DYA compact servo motors with integral gearing at the SPS/IPC/Drives 2005 show.
Planetary gearing with a transmission ratio of i=5 or i=10 is integrated direct into the drive-end housing of the servo motor. The 1FK7-DYA servo gear motors are available in four sizes. Driving torques range from 32Nm to a maximum of 240Nm. Top speed is 1,200 rpm. Thanks to the integration of the gear, the geared motor has a significantly shorter design and better dynamic response than a combination of separate motor and gears connected by a clutch.
