Gear Units and Geared Motors for Hazardous Zones
MOTOX gear units and geared motors are available for operation in hazardous zones.
The Geared Motors helical, offset shaft, helical bevel and helical worm for Hazardous
Zones have been compliant with Directive 94/9/EC (ATEX) since the 1st of January
2003.
The gear units and motors – in a wide range
of versions – are certified for Zones 1 and 2 (gases) and 21 and 22 (dusts).

3. |
They can be used in explosive atmosphere G
(gases) for temperature classes T1...T4. When used in explosive atmosphere D
(dusts), the max. temperature of 120°C for the gear units must be taken into
account. A sensor can be incorporated to monitor the oil level in areas that
are not accessible.
