Remote AccessAn increasingly common phenomenon is that machines and equipment are being operated in locations far away from the place where there were actually manufactured. In spite of this, the manufacturers of such equipment must be in a position to provide maintenance services in the event of a fault. This can entail high costs in some cases, especially during the warranty phase. TeleService helps to substantially reduce the risk.TeleService enables minimization of the risks involved in the remote maintenance of S7/C7 automation systems via a land-based or radio network, while ensuring that you benefit from a reliable maintenance service for your plant or machine.
SIMATIC TeleService consists of matching components: the TeleService Adapter, TeleService Software, function blocks for remote maintenance, remote coupling and alarms via SMS, e-mail or fax.
The connection to the automation systems is established via existing communication networks such as the analog telephone network, ISDN or the mobile phone network.
Apart from the TeleService Adapter II which supports MPI, PROFIBUS DP and PPI, we can also provide you with the TeleService Adapter for Industrial Ethernet (TS Adapter IE). This enables access which is tailor-made for automation environments and which is required for teleservice and remote maintenance services via the Industrial Ethernet. Thanks to the TS Adapter IE, the changeover from S7 CPUs with MPI/PROFIBUS interfaces to S7 CPUs with Profinet interfaces is considerably simplified. And no special IT knowledge is needed to use it as the TS Adapter IE is parameterized in the language of the user during the automation process.
