SIMATIC ET 200 systems offer solutions to IP20 degree of protection as well as to IP65/67 degree of protection for implementation in PROFINET. Line topologies can be easily formed using the integrated 2-port switch.

SIMATIC ET 200S is a finely modular, distributed I/O system to IP 20 degree of protection. SIMATIC ET 200S
The PROFINET interface modules IM 151-3 PN STANDARD and HIGH FEATURE can be used to connect the multifunctional I/O system SIMATIC ET 200S to PROFINET to the iP20 degree of protection. The HIGH FEATURE variant supports PROFIsafe applications. Line topologies can be easily formed using the integrated 2-port switch. The frequency converter ET 200S FC facilitates finely-controlled, variable-speed drives also as a Safe variant.

SIMATIC ET 200S with fiber-optic connection
The PROFINET interface module IM 151-3 PN FO can be used to connect the SIMATIC ET 200S product family to an optical PROFINET network through the integrated POF interfaces (Polymer Optic Fiber). The line topologies familiar from established field buses can be easily formed using the integrated 2-port switch. This means that safety-oriented PROFIsafe modules can also be connected to ET 200 with a direct fiber optic cable connection for the first time.

SIMATIC ET 200S PN CPU
The IM151-8 PN/DP CPU has a PROFINET communication interface (with 3 ports for line structure and PG function) on-board and can optionally be expanded with a PROFIBUS-DP master module. The IM151-8 PN/DP CPU is based on the S7-300 CPU 314 and supports the real-time features RT and IRT (isochronous real-time). IRT enables extremely short, predictable reaction times, even faster, deterministic data exchange with IO-devices as well as a robust, reliable communication of the process data - also with very high non-realtime data traffic.
The fail-safe version IM151-8F PN/DP F-CPU is based on the S7-300 CPU 314. Fail-safe as well as standard IO modules can be used. The communication between CPU and fail-safe modules is done via PROFIsafe.

SIMATIC ET 200pro is the small, modular I/O system to IP65/67 degree of protection for cabinet-free applications. It is able to offer a high degree of flexibility thanks to its varied module spectrum: Input/output modules, motor starters, frequency converters, pneumatics, direct connection to the MOBY identification system or the integration of fail-safe modules. Communication can take place over PROFIBUS or PROFINET - and it can be standard communication or safety-related communication - both is possible on one and the same cable The frequency converter ET 200pro FC facilitates finely-controlled, variable-speed drives also as a Safe variant.

The IM154-8 PN/DP CPU has two communication interfaces, a combined MPI/PROFIBUS DP interface and a PROFINET interface with three ports.

SIMATIC ET 200M - Compact and highly flexible to IP 20
ET 200M is a modularly constructed DP slave to the IP20 degree of protection. The system allows use of up to 12 high-density signal and function modules as well as communications processors of the S7-300. It is not necessary to observe any slots rules. The ET 200M provides users with an extensive range of functions such as an integrated diagnostics concept, hot swapping of electronics modules or permanent wiring – for maximum plant availability. If an S7-400 is also being used, the configuration can be changed while operations are still running (Configuration in Run). Further, applications in hazardous areas up to Zone 2 are possible. The sensors and actuators can also be located in Zone 1. Communication can take place via PROFIBUS or PROFINET.
The IM 153-4 interface module for connection to PROFINET has an interface with integrated 2-port switch and T functionality for voltage supply. Thanks to the new 64-channel modules (64DI/DO) the channel density in the station is increased and enables the user to reduce the amount of space required in the cabinet.
