Operator Control and Monitoring Devices
SIMATIC HMI offers you a finely graded spectrum of innovative and economic products and systems: For the most varied requirements in process visualization starting with the operator panels and visualization software for machine-level HMI up to the scalable SCADA system.
Real-time operator control via PROFINET IO
The SIMATIC HMI panels of the 170 and 270 series together
with WinCC flexible 2005 SP1 now also support PROFINET IO.
Time-critical conditions as executed, for example, via PROFIBUS
using the DP direct keys, are now also possible on the basis of
Industrial Ethernet. Standard communication with the process
(variable values, messages) takes place in parallel.

SIMATIC Panels series 170 – The compact versatile units

The 170 series of panels features universal units with high performance, large memory and high resolution for mobile and stationary use. The performance capability of the units is scalable. The color variants offer additional interfaces for connection to PROFINET.

SIMATIC Multi Panels – More than just HMI

As they are the highest performing units, the Multi Panels are especially suited for most demanding HMI tasks. In addition to visualization, the units are also able to handle other automation tasks, e.g. employed as a terminal client or as a platform for a software PLC. SIMATIC Multi Panels offer standard interfaces for use on PROFINET.

SIMATIC Mobile Panels – For the mobile operation of your system

SIMATIC Mobile Panels are compact and ergonomically designed,
while at the same time being rugged enough for industrial
use. They are operated by means of touchscreens and membrane
keyboards. Additional control elements (e.g. handwheels,
key switches, illuminated pushbuttons) increase userfriendliness
and permit direct access to the I/O via PROFIBUS
and PROFINET/Ethernet. As part of the sophisticated safety
concept, the STOP pushbutton can be used for stopping the
machine in critical situations.
