IWLAN/PB Link PN IO

The IWLAN/PB Link PN IO is available as a network transition between Industrial Wireless LAN and PROFIBUS.

By using the IWLAN/PB Link PN IO either as a PROFIBUS master interface or as a PROFINET IO proxy, the link is suitable for communication with automation systems in mobile applications such as automatic guided vehicle systems (AGVS), shelf access systems or monorail conveyors (EHB).

By supporting PROFINET, the wide variety of PROFIBUS system features, such as diagnostics via the bus, can continue to be used.

Advantages

The transmission of data by wireless means, which are not subject to wear, increases plant availability.

As a substitute for contact wires, the IWLAN/PB Link PN IO in connection with RCoax leaky wave cables even permits contactless data transmission (e.g. for monorail conveyors)

By using the C-Plug (Link) replacement mediumC-Plug for backing up the configuration data, a device can be replaced without the need for a programmer.

Protection of investment by the option of integrating PROFIBUS field devices into an Industrial Wireless LAN radio network.

Flexible application by connecting IWLAN antennas or alternative antennas for RCOax cable; suitable for control cubicle installation due to IP20 degree of protection (appropriate for 7.5 or 15 mm standard DIN rails).
