Expanded range of compact Industrial Ethernet switches

The design of the four new managed switches in the Scalance XF-200 range for setting up electrical, optical, or mixed network structures in an industrial environment corresponds to the design of Simatic ET 200S distributed I/O devices. They can be mounted on a standard mounting rail to save space and are particularly suitable for connecting ET 200S units to Industrial Ethernet/Profinet. There are versions with four and eight electrical RJ45 ports, with six electrical and one optical port, and with four electrical and two optical ports. The inclined cable outlet with retaining collar for the IE FC RJ45 FastConnect connector points downward. This facilitates installation in small control boxes. The new devices can be used in ring structures as redundancy managers and for standby coupling with other network segments to ensure high network availability.

 

The four new unmanaged Scalance XB-000G Industrial Ethernet switches with form factor and compact box form of the Simatic S7-1200 controllers permit space-saving installation in the control cabinet.  They are suitable for setting up small Industrial Ethernet star and line topologies in less harsh industrial environments. There are versions with five and eight electrical RJ45 ports, a version with four RJ45 ports and one multi-mode fiber-optic port, and another version with four RJ45 ports and one single-mode fiber-optic port.
