For the first time, SIMATIC ET 200pro IWLAN enables direct wireless connection of distributed IO systems via an access point to the IO controller. With the new interface module 154-6 PN HF IWLAN both standard and safety-related applications can be implemented with PROFINET. The new interface module enables the customer to use ET 200pro in applications in which a wired solution has either not been possible up till now or could only be implemented at a considerable cost. Examples of these applications are to be found in overhead monorail systems, automatic guided vehicle systems and in warehouse logistics. The ET 200pro IWLAN works as an IWLAN client, for example, on the Industrial WLAN SCALANCE W access points. The WLAN standards IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/h are supported, i.e. both the 2.4 GHz frequency range and the 5 GHz range. The industrial WLAN iPCF and Rapid Roaming features continue to be supported. Via an integrated web server not just the basic settings of the device, but also the security settings, can be performed user-friendly.

SIMATIC ET 200pro is the distributed I/O system in IP65/67. It is especially small and powerful and is characterized in particular by its unique multifunctionality. Its modular design enables the most flexible response to automation requirements.

SIMATIC ET 200pro is much more than just an input/output system. Whether you're talking motor starters, frequency converters, pneumatics, direct connection to the MOBY identification system, integration of safety technology, connection to PROFIBUS and PROFINET, or just the transmission of digital and analog signals: the system will be able to offer the right solution for every requirement.
