The SIMATIC Safety Integrated product range comprises failsafe controller systems fo factory automation as well as process industry based on the SIMATIC S7- 300 and S7- 400 CPU and SIMATIC ET 200.
For failsafe applications you can choose among 5 different S7-300 and two S7-400 CPUs.
With Safety Integrated, Siemens as one-stop provider of automation engineering is offering a complete and integrated safety program.

Failsafe components for SIMATIC S7-300, S7-400 and ET200

These failsafe controllers are based on timeproven standard PLCs. The PROFIsafe profile has been added to both PROFIBUS and PROFINET for safety-related communication. Safety-related and standard communication are now possible over only one standard bus cable. With PROFINET, safety-related communication is also ensured in wireless networks.

The engineering for safety functions and standard functions is carried out with the same engineering tools (STEP 7) - supported by off-the-shelf FBs with certification from the German Technical Inspectorate (TÜV).
