PC Interface Unit and Programming Software for Sonar Proximity Switches

With the PC interface unit SONGPROG and the corresponding software, it is possible to adapt the following sonar proximity switches to the specific requirements of an application:
Compact Series II and III
Compact Series M18
Compact Format K 65



For any sonar proximity switch, the following parameters – among other things – can be set:
Beginning and end of the switching area
Hysteresis
Switching element function opener or closer
Switching frequency
Beginning and end of the analog characteristic curve
Analog characteristic curve rising or falling
End of the blind zone
End of the detection area
Averaging
Attenuation


Furthermore, the function of the device can be set:
Multiplex function
Temperature compensation
Function as diffuse or reflex sensor
Fill level mode


The programmed values are stored in the sonar proximity switch and remain there even without the interface unit or after an operating voltage interruption. The programmed values can be printed out and backed up. In this way, they are immediately available for series applications, in case a proximity switch needs to be replaced, etc.
