Frequency Converter SIMATIC ET 200pro FC
A new frequency converter is supplementing SIMATIC ET 200pro. The distributed
SIMATIC ET 200pro distributed I/O system comprises distributed intelligence,
inputs and outputs and motor starters. Modules with integrated safety technology
are also included in the system. The ET 200pro FC frequency converter continuously
controls the speed of induction motors and can handle drive tasks with simple
open-loop frequency control up to sophisticated vector control.
It has been seamlessly integrated into the ET 200pro
system and offers, for example, simple mounting & installation, fast module
replacement and integrated, seamless diagnostics. Communications are possible
via PROFIBUS. Further, it has safety functions that are unique worldwide and
also the ability to regenerate into the line supply (energy recovery).

The SIMATIC ET 200S FC frequency converter is a module belonging to our ET 200S
distributed I/O. It can handle both simple as well as sophisticated drive tasks
with closed-loop vector control. It also has integrated extensive safety functionality.
Line-commutated regenerative feedback into the line supply. Not only this – commutating
reactors, braking choppers and resistors are eliminated therefore guaranteeing
