converter, the following fail-safe functions are available:

Safely Reduced Speed
All of the functions are certified according to Category 3 of EM954-1 or SIL
2 of IEC 61508. The "safe braking ramp" and "safely-reduced speed" functions
can be implemented using sensorless (i.e. without encoder) standard induction
motors.
Terminal Modules to Supply the Integrated TM-D Power Bus
... supports the wiring and accepts the peripheral (I/O) modules.
Terminal modules are pure mechanical components to accommodate the ET200S I/O modules. The self-establishing voltage rails, integrated in the terminal modules, reduce the wiring requirements to a single infeed. All of the modules to the right are automatically supplied when plugging the terminal modules together. The rugged design and form-fit connection technology allows this system to be used in rugged industrial environments.
ET 200S FC
Frequency converter with ICU24 control unit and IPM25
0.75kW converter power section. The frequency converter can handle both basic
closed-loop control tasks (V/f control) as well as more complex applications
(closed-loop vector control, closed-loop torque control with and without encoder
feedback), and regenerative feedback into the line supply. Not only this, it
can be withdrawn and inserted in operation (hot swapping).
Fail-safe PM-D F Profisafe Power Modules
The safety functions of the ET 200S FC fail-safe
are selected via the upstream PM-D F PROFIsafe or an PM-D F X1 power module.
PM-D Power Module
To supply (infeed) and monitor the auxiliary voltages for ET 200S frequency converters and ET 200S motor starters.
Electronic Modules
...are inserted on the terminal module and define the
functions of the analog/digital input/output modules etc.

...connects the ET 200S station to the DP master and conditions the data for the electronic modules being used and the ET 200S FC.
