Network interfaces (gateways)

Networks transitions between different bus systems are implemented through links, PLCs or PCs. In the latter 2 cases integrated interfaces and communications processors (PCs) are used.
Gateways implemented in the form of links pass data seamlessly from one network to another, enabling transparent interfacing of existing PROFIBUS devices to Industrial Ethernet. Apart from wired proxies to Industrial Ethernet, SIMATIC NET also offers proxies with Industrial Wireless LAN connections.

IWLAN/PB Link PN IO

IWLAN/PB Link PN IO

With the compact network transition IWLAN/PB link PN IO, PROFIBUS DP slaves can be connected by means of an Industrial Wireless LAN to a PROFINET IO controller.

IE/PB Link PN IO

IE/PB Link PN IO

The IE/PB Link PN IO enables the transparent connection of PROFIBUS DP-Slaves to the PROFINET IO-Controller.

IE/PB Link
IE/PB Link

The IE/PB Link connects PROFINET CBA components, which are linked to PROFIBUS, onto Industrial Ethernet.

IE/AS-i LINK PN IO

The IE/AS-i LINK PN IO connects AS interface slaves to a PROFINET IO controller. There is a single and double AS interface master according to AS-i Spec. V3.0, a full-graphics display and an integrated Web server for comfortable commissioning and diagnostics.

PN/PN Coupler
PN/PN Coupler

The PN/PN Coupler is a PROFINET module for a cross-plant, fast and deterministic IO data link between two PROFINET networks.
