The new interface module enables the customer to use ET 200pro in applications in which a wired solution has either not been possible up till now or could only be implemented at a considerable cost. Examples of these applications are to be found in overhead monorail systems, automatic guided vehicle systems and in warehouse logistics.

The SIMATIC ET 200eco PN is a compact block IO with PROFINET connection in IP 65/67 degree of protection for cabinet-free installation directly on the machine. The IM151-8 PN/DP CPU is based on the S7-300 CPU 314 and supports the real-time features RT and IRT (isochronous real-time). IRT enables extremely short, predictable reaction times, even faster, deterministic data exchange with IO-devices as well as a robust, reliable communication of the process data - also with very high non-realtime data traffic.
The fail-safe version IM151-8F PN/DP F-CPU is based on the S7-300 CPU 314. Fail-safe as well as standard IO modules can be used. The communication between CPU and fail-safe modules is done via PROFIsafe.
