Industrial Ethernet ESM/OSM

The Industrial Ethernet OSM and ESM managed switches are used to set up Industrial Ethernet networks at the control level

• The modules are connected to each other (backbone) with 100 Mbit/s via
  - glass fiber-optic cables (FOC) for OSM
  - twisted pair cables for ESM
  
  
• Terminal devices or network segments are connected depending on the type of OSM/ESM via
  - 2 to 8 twisted pair ports in RJ-45 or 9-pole sub-D design (10/100 Mbit/s)
  - 3 or 8 FOC ports (100 Mbit/s)
  
  
• An integral redundancy manager supports high-speed media redundancy also for large networks
• Very easy network configuration and extension without complex configuration rules or parameterization
• SNMP, Web-based Management and RMON
• Error signaling by e­mail
• Integration of digital signals, e.g. door switches, temperature monitoring or signaling contacts in the management system via digital inputs
