Linear motors are highly dynamic and precise motors for linear traversing movements. For this reason, linear motors are preferably used for applications requiring superior productivity and accuracy. Due to their configuration, linear motors are also characterized by superior ruggedness, reduced wear and thus superior maintainability. Siemens offers two different motor types for different application classes.
