The contents of DOConCD have been revised and re-compiled. The contents have been sub-divided into SINUMERIK powerline and SINUMERIK solution line and each have their own DOConCDs. Both productions are supplied on one DVD in German and in English. When installing the software, it can be selected which DOConCD is to be installed. Either all of the productions are complete installed or selected productions.

A DVD with 4 different DOConCD productions is supplied. The DOConCDs for SINUMERIK solution line and SINUMERIK powerline previously contained in one production have now been sub-divided into two productions. Each DOConCD version has German and English documentation on the DVD. As before, we have compiled the complete SINAMICS documentation in a separate DOConCD.
The contents of the DOConCDs are also available on DOConWEB versions.

Update service

As before, an update service will be offered for this DOConCD:
The update service is valid for one year from the date that the DOConCD is originally ordered. In order to order the update service, the full version must have been purchased. The update contract will be supplied with the actual DOConCD and all of the new editions will be made available over the year. It is assumed that two editions of DOConCD will be issued during the time period of the update contract. The new Edition of the DOConCD is sent for existing update contracts. This applies for both previous update contracts

The two previously valid Order Nos. will be replaced with the new Order Nos. (MLFB) from July 2007 onwards. The contracts set-up under the previous Order Nos. will still be supplied.

In addition to unilingual DOConCDs, we are offering a User Manual Collection comprising the complete user documentation available in German, English, French, Italian and Spanish.

In addition to these language, the CD contains a “Language extensions“ folder comprising the documents available in further languages. You cannot select the pdf files included via the Navigator using the search mechanisms of the User Manual Collection. They can only be displayed as a pdf file.

This CD is intended for machine manufacturers who can thus supply the documentation required in different languages on CD together with the machines. The machine manufacturers can print out once the documents required. They are, however, not allowed to market printed versions of the pdf documents stored on the CD.

Scope of functions and handling of the User Manual Collection:
General information on the installation process is provided under "Installation and Handling". After installing the CD, you can select one language using the same navigator as with the DOConCD and select another language at any time.

The documentation in German, English, Italian and French is supplied together with the SIMOTION product CD. There is no DOConCD for SIMOTION manuals available.

DOConCD requires the widely established Acrobat Reader program. This is available without requiring a license and is therefore free of charge.

The CD is installed using the File Manager/Explorer and the "setup.exe" file. The User Instructions for the DOConCD can be found in the lower area of the file cd_help.pdf.

After DOConCD has been installed, documents can be called up in two ways:

• using the menu bar under DOConCD or
• the new "DOConCD" button
