SIRIUS ® contactors with remaining life time (RLT) function
(*remaining life time)

These contactors switch three-phase a.c. feeders from 55 kW to 250 kW at 400 V. The RLT function measures the wear/erosion on the main contacts, and signals a pending replacement visually and electrically at the right time. RLT helps in planning maintenance measures and makes routine visual checks on the main contacts unnecessary.

SIMATIC ET 200S High Feature motor starters

The High Feature motor starters also make it possible to measure and monitor current via the bus thanks to a selective protection concept with electronic overload monitors. This allows current limit values to be stored and monitored on the device. For example, a torn V belt or an overloaded mill is selected prior to being shutdown. The process can thus be brought to a safe state before damage is caused. Even in the event of an overload, a command can be issued for controlled plant shutdown as an alternative to the usual hard shutdown.

IQ-Sense, sensors with maintenance functions

Diagnostics information about the sensors such as pollution warning, open-circuit monitoring, and short-circuit monitoring are reported direct to the controller as PROFIBUS standard diagnostics. After replacing a sensor due to a fault, the controller automatically restores all sensor settings. Plant standstills are thus prevented or reduced to a level as yet unequalled.
