Locomotives

The locomotives ÖBB Rh 1016/1116 represent the Eurosprinter-family second generation. Development began with the freight train locomotive of the 152 series for the Deutsche Bahn AG. 
The locomotives Rh 1016 are designed for use in Germany and Austria on a line voltage of 15 kV. Rh 1116 locomotives are equipped for operation on 25kV/50Hz so they can be operated in Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia and France as well.
