WinCC OPC Alarm & Event Client

This WinCC Premium Add-on enables you to transfer alarms
and events from any compliant OPC Alarm & Event (AE) server to the WinCC
alarm system. The main task of the client is to receive alarms from the OPC
AE server and transmit them in an adequate way to the WinCC alarm system.
WinCC and the WinCC OPC AE client have to run on the same machine. The OPC
AE Server can be located on a different machine. The client will be started
and stopped with the WinCC Runtime. The connection state to the OPC AE
Server is monitored cyclically and its condition is reported to WinCC via a
connection status item. In case of a connection breakdown the client tries
to reconnect. It is also possible to use the WinCC AE client in a redundant
WinCC environment.
