"Systematic Chaos" -
When WinCC questions the Oracle

It becomes everything but nebulous, when WinCC and Oracle provide transparency and efficiency for inventory control.
Electronic industrial automation and information processing are the core activities of the company Unitechnik Cieplik & Poppek GmbH of Wiehl Bohmig.
For a manufacturer of copper stock, the Unitechnik specialists implemented a warehouse logistics system with approximately 300 storage spaces on four levels for coils weighing up to 15 tons each.
The system UniWare NT combines an Oracle database application and SIMATIC WinCC under a common interface. Inventory control and visualization functions are distributed among two independent Primergy servers that communicate with onsite clients.

The system is capable of managing the inventory according to the chaotic order principle, ensuring optimum performance and throughput. The inventory management level is connected to the plant control computer as well as to the field level of the shelf operator devices via TCP/IP or PROFIBUS.
