"Where cars take the elevator" - Parking ramp with the worldwide greatest vehicle density visualized by WinCC flexible
	Germany´s largest fully automatic parking ramp, located in Dresden, offers parking space for some 200 vehicles in very tight quarters.The ramp is based on the DirectPark system developed by the Saalfelder Hebezeugbau GmbH (SHB), which employs industrial conveyor technology like the one used in high rack storage facilities. Siemens industrial automation and drive technology ensures fast, accident-free, user-convenient operation.
	Operation and monitoring of internal processes is based on the Simatic WinCC flexible visualization system using the Sm@rt Access and  Sm@rt Service options.  The drive-in assistance, which guides the parking ramp user in a similar way as a car wash, uses series 170 Touch Panels connected to the system by a Profibus network.   Download of case study  approx. 0.2 MB published in advance 2/2006
