In this plant, Siemens implemented a completely homogeneous control and management concept for the very first time that controls all the processes from process automation right up to the MES solution using SIMATIC IT Framework. Process Analysis System for Celanese Chemicals in Oberhausen
Against strong competition, Siemens was able to secure the order for supplying the process analytics for a new plant for the manufacture of synthesis gas presently being planned and built by Linde AG in Höllriegelskreuth near Munich under contract with Celanese AG in Oberhausen. One of the main reasons for giving the order to Siemens was the new process gas chromatograph (PGC) Maxum Edition II, which for the very first time combines the proven analytic advantages of the Siemens PGC 302 with the progressive communication possibilities of the Advance Maxums of Applied Automation. more
