Graphical Configuring of Drive-oriented Functions for
SIMOTION and SINAMICS
Drive
Control Chart (DCC) is the system-wide graphical
programming of technological functions for the SIMOTION Motion Control System
and the SINAMICS S120 family of drives. DCC is a graphics tool used to interlink
and parameterize multi-instance function blocks from a standard library. The
closed-loop control structures are clearly represented using this method. This
opens up for the user a new dimension in the adaptability of SIMOTION and SINAMICS
to the specific functions of his machine. |

Extended Safety Functions for SINAMICS Reduce Machine
Downtimes
The SINAMICS S120 drive system is available in a new Version
V2.5 with additional safety
functions that support the simple and standard-compliant
implementation of innovative safety concepts. Safety functions Safe Stop 2, Safe
Operating Stop, Safely-Limited Speed and Safe Speed Monitor supplement the existing
integrated basic safety functions. When selected, the basic safety functions
Safe Torque Off, Safe Stop 1 and Safe Brake Control always result in the supply
of power to the motor being safely disconnected, e.g. in a dangerous situation. |
