| Globally increasing environmental awareness and
increasingly strict limits for toxic materials have resulted in an increased
demand from the automotive industry for high-performance catalytic converters.
Emitec being the world market leader in metallic catalyst has therefore
built a new factory in Eisenach-Hörselberg. In this factory, the
metal-bed catalysts are not only manufactured, they are also developed
further.
Four dynamic and two highly-dynamic engine test rigs have been installed
for the development and exhaust gas examinations of the catalytic converters,
where the two highly-dynamic engine test rigs are installed in air-conditioned
chambers.
