more remote-controlled cameras
and a control PC.
The video images are displayed on
the PC screen, by means of which
operations are also carried out to set
up and control the cameras and to
operate the recorder functions.
The powerful camera and video
software provided offers comprehensive
functions for camera control,
video recording and playback.
Hardware setup
Remote-controlled camera
The camera is designed for positioning
in the test cell (tripod or wall
mounting with degree of protection
up to IP66). The operator can pan
and tilt the camera by means of
remote-control, and also change the
zoom setting.
Control PC
The video image is displayed on the
control PC's screen, a flat LCD screen
can be used in the desktop housing.
The computer is a standard office PC
with Windows operating system,
supplemented by a powerful video
card.
Camera and video software
Camera control
The camera is remote-controlled
using a joystick, keyboard, mouse or
picture click (mouse click on video
image on screen).
Panorama function
The panorama function enables
automatic panning of the complete
test bed and combination of the
individual images into a total picture
on the screen. By clicking with the
mouse on an interesting detail of
the picture, the associated individual
image is automatically shown in
large format again.
Recorder function
The video system also offers record
and playback functions. The video
sequences are saved on the video
PC's hard disk, and can be called
using the playback software. A
recording duration of several weeks
is possible depending on the hard
disk, therefore supporting comprehensive
analysis of faults.
Photographs
The software can be used to make
individual digital photos from the
video recordings and to save them
on the PC.
Options
Audio transmission
The system can be expanded by a
microphone system for audio transmission
and recording.
Weatherproof housing
A weatherproof housing is available
as an option for the camera when
used in climatic chambers.
Networking and remote display
The video system can be expanded
by networking for remote display
and control within the plant or even
via the Internet. For example, this
permits the display and control of a
video image in a control center.
