A state-of-the-art inspection and test system today has to offer more than just test functions. As a fixed compo-nent of an innovative and quality-oriented production system, a test system must possess efficiency, ease of operation and availability,
as well as performing test tasks. With ECOS, we have de-veloped a test system that meets these requirements.
Test functions
Ecos combines all functions in a single test system.
- Analog measurement of current and voltage
- Diagnostics and control units
- Programming of the control units
- Testing of pre-assembly groups
- Testing of dynamic processes on chassis dynamometers.
- Special functions and support for reworking
Efficiency and ease of operation
Efficient working and ergonomic operation are almost inseparable.
This applies equally to the testbed on the line and to the tool for generating inspection and test sequences. For this reason, the ECOS system offers a host of features for the generating tool.
- Data transfer from the development area, e.g. in XML format
- Exchange of test sequences between different factories or factory areas over the Intranet.
- Extensive statistics package for meaningful weak-point analysis.
- Ergonomic dialog design for creating the test sequences using copy&paste and drag&drop as well as the graphical representation of the test sequences.
Another essential feature of our ECOS system is the reduction of test times thanks to high communication speeds, efficient data management and parallel testing of several control units. These system features contribute to the efficiency of the ECOS test system and thus to optimal production flow in vehicle assembly.
Functions for reworking
- Special sequence and menu functions
- Call-up of drawings and auxiliary documents from the intranet.
- Retest of defective functions
Availability
The ECOS system components are subject to stringent quality checks. They are improved by innovative engineering and continuously adapted to new tasks. |
