| To save on and replace costly and time-consuming road tests, Siemens has developed a road simulation test bench. The test bench allows higher-grade testing since it rules out disturbance variables such as weather and driving style.
Vibration Test Bench
As well as road simulation, the use of vibration test benches in the production hall also makes it possible to prevent paint damage, e.g. from stones and dirt on the vehicle.
Functions
The road simulation bench meets the following requirements:
- Setting of the chassis
- Early detection of loose and poor connections during the subsequent ECOS / SIDIS Pro test.
- Reproduction and detection of rattle and vibration noises.
Versions
Thanks to the modular and flexible design of the road simulation bench, the most diverse versions are available. The required version is determined individually according to test requirements.

- Electrical couplings with 4-motor concept
- Mechanical couplings (limited functionality)
- Integrated acoustic test
- Simulation of different road surfaces
- Customer-specific adaptations (wheel base, etc.)
