TIM 3V-IE

The TIM variant for the SIMATIC S7-300 that can be flexibly connected to any SINAUT network. Thus the station can implement SINAUT communication either over the RS232 or RJ45 interface.

Storing the data message frames (up to 16,000) incl. time stamp on the TIM reduces the dial-up network costs or costs for other networks subject to charge such as GPRS. Furthermore, it prevents data loss when the communication path is disturbed or a partner has failed.

Flexible connection to a classical WAN

The RS232 interface permits a connection to any standard WAN, i.e. a dedicated line network, a private radio system, or a dial-up network (analog telephone network, ISDN, or GSM mobile radio).

Connection to an IP-based WAN
A transmission device for an IP-based network can be connected to the RJ45 interface. This enables SINAUT communication by means of radio, fiber-optic cables, or even via public networks and the Internet using DSL or GPRS.
Compact telecontrol station
Low-cost station design, since the SIMATIC S7-CPUs 312 and 312C can be used. The single-width design also saves space in the control cabinet.
Fast and user-friendly diagnostics
Simple diagnostics, both on site by means of status LEDs as well as direct from the control center by means of PG routing. Of course, remote programming is possible in addition to remote diagnostics. And all of this in parallel with data transmission, independent of the selected transmission media.
Efficient configuration
Time and cost savings thanks to quick and user-friendly configuration of connections and data to be transferred with the SINAUT configuring software and block library.
