MD741-1 GPRS routerThe MD741-1 GPRS router has an RJ45 interface and permit data transmission using the GPRS - and EGPRS service (EDGE: 4 to 5 times faster than GPRS) of a GSM mobile radio provider both for the SINAUT ST7 telecontrol system and other Ethernet-based automation devices, e.g. for remote maintenance. Since data transmission from the GPRS provider to the control center or maintenance center is frequently implemented over the Internet, the MD741-1 has an integral VPN router and firewall. This allows bidirectional IP connections with optimum security to be established between the station and control center/maintenance center.
Suitable for use anywhere in the world
The MD741-1 is a quadband modem and therefore covers all GSM frequencies used worldwide (see list of authorized countries!).
Mobile applications
In addition to stationary stations, mobile stations can also be connected to a central operator control and monitoring system with the MD741-1, e.g. railway and road vehicles as well as coastal vessels and inland navigation vessels.
Maximum security
Maximum security thanks to integrated IPSec-based VPN functionality and firewall
Low operating costs
Low-cost GPRS volume tariffs in combination with a correspondingly optimized protocol, such as SINAUT ST7, ensure low transmission costs. Due to the integrated VPN router, special contracts with mobile radio providers for closed Virtual Private Networks can also be omitted. This reduces operating expenses considerably.
Permanent connection
With SINAUT ST7, GPRS is used to establish a permanent connection between station and control center so that data can be sent as soon as they are generated. Failure of partners can also be quickly detected by means of these "dedicated lines".
Easy configuring
Planning and configuring of stations connected over GPRS is possible without expert radio know-how
