Network transitions

Network transitions between Industrial Ethernet, PROFIBUS, AS-Interface or EIB are implemented using links,PLCs or PCs. In the last two cases,integral interfaces and communications processors (CPs)can be used for the network transition.

Network transitions implemented using a link pass on the data from one network to the next without further processing. These network transitions are the DP/PA link, the DP/PA coupler, the IE/PB link, the DP/EIB link or the DP/AS-Interface for transitions between the EIB, AS-Interface, PROFIBUS and Industrial Ethernet networks.
