The high-tech airport without planes in the Siemens Airport Center in Fürth/Bislohe is an integration and innovation plant where you can find high-tech solutions for all airport areas
- From passenger-related processes (biometric security) up to baggage handling
- From power supply up to state-of-the-art network technologies (Voice over IP)

The Siemens Airport Center demonstrates that Siemens, as a full-line supplier, can offer complete airports through combining the competences of different Groups.

In addition to control and drive engineering from A&D, SCALANCE W with the joint COM story "From the office to the shop floor“ is in use in the Siemens Airport as a "life system".

For this purpose, nine SCALANCE W788-2RR access points were provided in the conveyor plant and two access points in the conference rooms.
