CP 5621

Description

The CP 5621 is an innovation of the CP 5611 A2 module for the PC connecting system PCI Express (PCI Express V1.1). The CP 5621 requires a PCI Express x1 slot, but it can also be inserted in PCI Express slots x4, x8 or x16. The CP is functionally compatible with the CP 5611 A2.

Characteristics:

  • Simple PROFIBUS PC module for PCI Express x1 slots

  • The CP 5621 is supported with the SIMATIC NET CD Edition 2006

Communication services:

  • PROFIBUS DP master Class 1 and 2 according to IEC 61158/IEC 61784 with SOFTNET DP software product

  • PROFIBUS DP slave with the software product SOFTNET DP slave

  • PG/OP communication with the STEP 5 or STEP 7 software product

  • Open communication (SEND/RECEIVE on basis of the FDL interface) with the SOFTNET DP or SOFTNET S7 software product.
